FAQs
Do we take insurance?
No, we are considered an out of network provider. You are able to submit your documentation to your insurance provider for reimbursement to out of network work services for reimbursement.
Why do we not bill insurance first?
Your co-pay is a fixed fee you pay upfront, often for just seeing the doctor (like $20 or $40). But the visit might include other services that cost extra.
Example:
Co-pay (office visit): $30
Doctor runs tests, takes X-rays, or performs a procedure
Those extras may not be included in your co-pay, so you get billed for the rest.
2. The provider sends a bill to your insurance
After your visit, your provider sends a detailed bill (called a claim) to your insurance company. The insurance processes it and decides:
What they will cover
What counts toward your deductible or co-insurance
What you're responsible for
Only after this process does the provider know if you owe more — and that’s when they send you a bill.
3. Deductible or co-insurance
You might get a bill because:
You haven’t met your deductible yet (the amount you must pay out of pocket before insurance pays more)
You have co-insurance (you split a percentage of the cost with your insurer)
4. Out-of-network care
If the provider is out-of-network, your insurance might pay less — or not at all — and you’re billed for the difference (a balance bill, unless you’re protected by the No Surprises Act).
